It all started in 1984 when I stepped foot on this great part of the world, acclimated to the lifestyle overnight, understood what was here available and saw the missing link: "Authentic Parisian style Bistro".

The real definition of a Parisian Bistro is a casual place, unpretentious, with great food, casual service, affordable, patronized mostly by the locals, owned and ran by a family and where customers know the employees and vice versa. It has become for most patrons: home away from home.

Growing up in the middle of Paris where neighborhood Bistros are common things, I wanted to share my experience and that unique flavor with the locals of Southern California.

My long time experience working in the food industry both in Europe and the U.S in very sophisticated and reputed establishments, my passion for cooking plus my desire to make a difference has created what is now "Bonjour Cafe & Bistro".

Since we opened March 2, 1992 I have kept working daily on maintaining a welcoming, warm and casual place with great quality of food and professional service as well as extending our menus to please our many regulars and new visitors.

We want to thank our so many loyal customers who have patronized us thru the ups and downs of the economy, so many who have shared their weekends with us, brought us their closest friends and motivated us for opening our doors daily with the same energy and enthusiasm.
